Thorbjørn Lausten

With his art of light and space, Thobjørn Lausten (b.1945,Denmark) creates new, richly associative areas into we can step. Spaces are funished with tight geometrical constuctions and luminous fixed point. Other spaces are dissolved in light, but may have ethereal drawings on the wall to provide bearings. The light and its accentuations of the space, combined with the time factor, are crucial importance. The observers is enclosed by these spaces, is situated indside the work rather the observing if from the outside, and this is an important element in Lausten´s overall strategy.
He try to forge a link between the visible world and mental activity, between the concrrete and the imaginary.
Thorbjørn Lausten lausten´s work uges us to turn sight s into insights – and this is the point of his transformation of space.

Thorbjørn Lausten works also with concrete paintings and drawings.

Thorbjørn Lausten has from 1987 exhibited through Stalke Galleri  in many groups and solo exhibitions.
