Gudmundur Ingólfsson from Iceland, he studied photography with Otto Steinert at Folkwangschule
fuer Gestaltung in Essen, Germany, in 1968-1971, and was his assistant
for a time.
Gudmundur has run ÍMYND photographic studio since 1972, and has made
photographs of all kinds, but especially for advertising and the
theatre.
For the last years many of his new works and project are documenting
no-name architecture in black and white mostly industrial and other
utility buildings especially around Reykjavik.
Other works are the Icelander landscape between culture and nature and in the borderline between them.
His work has been widely published and exhibited in many shows.
Gudmundur Ingólfsson has exhibited through Stalke Gallery for the last 7 years.
