20 years in Danish Art

The opening of Kirke Sonnerup Gallery and Sam Jedig's 20th anniversary is celebrated with the comprehensive exhibition "20 years in Danish Art". All in all 50 artists with whom the gallery either has worked or is currently working are invited. And the exhibition partly in Copenhagen partly in Kirke Sonnerup will thus give a good pictures of the trends and currents Stalke has focused on throughout the years. Among the invited artists from Denmark
are just to mention a few: Albert Mertz, Torben Ebbesen, Margrete Sørensen, Thorbjørn Lausten and Thomas Bang; and from the younger generation of Danish artists: Lilibeth Cuenca Rasmussen, Nikolaj Recke, Ekse Kath, Olafur Eliasson, Peter Røssell, Kristian Hornsleth, Jes Brinch, Niels Bonde and Kaj Nyborg. We have also invited foreign artists, including big names sucha as William Anastasi, Gunnar Örn, Dove Bradshaw, Lawrence Weiner, Dirk Larsen, William Anthonny, Jenny Watson and Johan Nobell; all artists who have had a great impact on the international art scene.

The opening is held over 2 days: Saturday the 20th and Sunday the 21st of
April 2002.
