Stalke Galleri has the great pleasure to present the exhibition
”Collage” as a meeting between five artists whom separately has
practised and explored many possibilities of the collage from the
sixties till today.
Poul Lillesøe show his
multifarious production at the union of artist PRO. Poul Lillesøe is
focused at the display /development) and takes a flight in fantasy
simple as possible. as he says, everything that pours out through my
hands. – To make this creation so direct and simple as possible. To
demonstrate the power of life he uses art as a weapon.
Arthur Köpcke is
one of the most importen representive of the Fluxus-movement. Arthur
Köpcke wanted to challenge reality in the opposites between the common
place and the absurd. The result often got the character of picture
puzzle.
Erik Dietman
works with words and ideas that often criticize both the society and
the conventional conception of art. Everything can be used: Pictures
from newspapers, waste, a piece of clothe, photos etc. And by the
creates so-called ”guarded passage” pictures and spaces that extend the
consciousness of the spectator.
Henrik Pryds Beck
was as a period a student of Arthur Köpcke active among Gallery 38. He
has also explored the collage always with an experimental starting
point. His contribution to this exhibition is a kind of pro retro
because the works have been collected during a number of years with the
attitude that it has a potential when the idea has been ripened. There
is always a thought (a Concept) beyond the works, a constructive
consideration that is worked out in the final works in a painterly
manner.
Albert Mertz
has kept on stubbornly all his lift to explore and challenge art. He
showed his artic works in all genres and mediums and when he died he
left a comprehensive production of assemblage, gouache, paintings,
collage and apart from that a considerable amount of text and notes.
Peter Holst Henckel was last year in charge of a comprehensive
exhibition Mertz+ in the gallery where facets of his works were shown.
The best way to characterize the pivotal point of the exhibition will
be with Albert Mertz`attiitude that art should not be bound to a
certain appearance. To any specific object, but more like identical
with effect has to the spectator.
