Stalke Galleri

STALKE GALLERI was born in 1987, and is a different kind of exhibition space for modern and contemporary art. The gallery is now located in the small village of Kirke Sonnerup, in an area of natural beauty between the two towns Holbæk and Roskilde in the central part of Zealand.

The gallery has more than 250 m2 at its disposal. The premises are newly restored and contain a distinctive atmosphere in which we present 4-5 exhibitions with Danish and foreign artists a year.
The exhibitions program attaches great importance to showing artists with an impact on the Danish and international art scene as well as creating a platform for new trends and currents in Danish art where they can present their idea of contemporary art.

As a supplement to the changing exhibitions of the gallery, we also invite visitors to gain an insight into Stalke Collection. Stalke Collection is a large private collection of modern art consisting of works from the 60s to the present. The collection is exhibited under changing headings.

Our goal is that Stalke Galleri will be an interesting alternative to the already existing art institutions and that the gallery will contribute to turning the province into an active participant on Denmark's art scene.
