EINAR THORSTEINN – ARTSTAMP
Einar Thorsteinn (1942–2015) was a visionary architect, artist, and geometer whose work moved across the boundaries of art, science, and architecture. He is especially known for his long-standing collaboration with Olafur Eliasson, where his mathematical models and geometric experiments became the foundation for some of Eliasson’s most iconic works.
Einar exhibited several times at Stalke Gallery, where his spatial models and constructions were presented as autonomous artworks. His practice merged aesthetics with scientific thought and was characterized by a playful approach to perception and form.
In 2019, Stalke released a special Artstamp designed and approved by Einar prior to his death. The stamp pays tribute to his lifelong experimental practice and his influence on both art and architecture. Through its precision and spatial complexity, the stamp captures the essence of his thinking: curiosity, structure, and openness to the unpredictable.
