STALKE UP NORTH

Stalke Galleri was pleased to invite guests to the opening of Stalke Up Northin Gilleleje on Saturday, December 8, from 3–6 PM.

Stalke Up North functioned as a smaller exhibition and project space for Stalke Galleri and served as an important extension of the gallery’s overall activities.

Stalke Up North aimed to host 3–4 annual exhibitions and projects, with Camilla Rohde Madsen overseeing the daily operations. She brought many years of experience in gallery management and had worked continuously with Stalke Galleri in Copenhagen since 1994, as well as at the gallery’s location in Kirke Sonnerup near Roskilde.

The opening exhibition, Christmas Group Show, featured a selection of artists who had defined the gallery’s profile at the time and had participated in its exhibition program during the previous two to three years.

Notable artists included William Anastasi, Dove Bradshaw, William Anthony, Gunnar Örn, and, from the younger generation, Kristleifur Björnsson, Nikolaj Recke, Tiina Nurminen, Anne Bennike, Bella Angora, and Christian Falsnaes. The latter two artists also presented their simultaneous exhibition project titled Bella Angora vs. Christian Falsnaes in Copenhagen at North, Nørregade 7c, which was also organized by Stalke Galleri.
