8 New Paper Works by Olafur Eliasson and Elias Hjöléifsson
Parallel to the exhibition presented above, Stalke Galleri presented eight new Paper Works by Olafur Eliasson and Elias Hjöléifsson. The works were based on principles of randomness found in nature. At the time, Olafur Eliasson was exhibiting at the Museum of Modern Art in New York and represented Denmark at the São Paulo Biennial.
Painting
In November, Stalke Galleri presented the exhibition Painting, bringing together seventeen artists from Denmark and abroad. The exhibition focused on diverse approaches to painting in the 1990s and emphasized an open dialogue between different forms of painterly expression, deliberately positioned outside fixed movements or stylistic programs.
The participating artists came from Denmark, England, the United States, Sweden, and Norway.
